I delivered an oral presentation at the E-MRS 2023 Spring Meeting in Strasbourg, France (May 29 – June 2, 2023) on developing topical drug formulations for the treatment of ocular neovascularization. I also contributed to the symposium organization as a symposium assistant.
About the Presentation
This talk presented our approach to creating topical ocular formulations that can effectively deliver anti-angiogenic therapeutics to the posterior segment of the eye without invasive intravitreal injections. The presentation covered our work with polymersomes and nanogel systems, their synthesis, characterization, and in vitro evaluation for treating conditions like age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.
